First walk.

Originally written on April 16th 2016.

We took Mila for a walk, the first one since she was born. It was only two blocks to our friend's house, but it took some preparation. It was windy, cold, she was sleeping and the stroller we had was broken, wobbling and difficult to push. Fun.

I took my camera to register the whole thing. The photographs you see here tell little stories about this walk and the visit to our friend's place, the suburban empty landscapes, wind, changing seasons and our older daughter, Gabi, becoming a teenager. I am also trying to tell a bit of Olivia's story.  A 3 years old that is stuck in her house watching TV, dreaming of being a ballerina and happy to see the new baby on the block.

For the Nerds.

I've used a Nikon D610 and a 20mm 1.8 for all the shots. I like the wide angle and how it incorporates more of the environment on the photos. I've been playing lately with some film presets for lightroom, trying to mimic film photography look, but I've come to the conclusion that this is just silly. From now on, If I want film nostalgia I will just shoot film. Final post processing is very subtle as I was trying to keep the photos as real as possible.

Thanks a lot.
